ICAT 2020 invites high-quality submissions in all different areas in the field of computer science. The industry track papers should prioritize impact and realism over novelty. We expect that industry track publications report useful testing tools, successful stories, and experiences when applying theories and methodologies into practice, or promising prototypes that have the potential to impact practice in the next few years.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to ICAT Topics.
Important Dates

- For accepted papers, it is necessary to fill, print, sign, and scan the copyright form.
- Authors Registration (Open): October 30, 2020.
- ICAT Conference: December 2-4, 2020.
Submissions
- Submitted papers must have been neither previously accepted for publication nor concurrently submitted for review in another journal, book, conference, or workshop.
- Industry track papers on all conference topics should be formatted according to the Springer CS Proceedings (LNCS) format. Downloadable templates: Word or Latex. Information for Authors of Springer Computer Science Proceedings. We encourage users to use Springer’s proceedings template for LaTeX in Overleaf.
- All submissions must be in English (12-15 pages; including figures and references).
- Important note: ICAT 2020 follows a full double-blind review process. Therefore, authors must remove personal details and any other information that allows revealing their identity. And moreover, it is recommendable five authors as a maximum per paper.
- Authors are required to ensure the accuracy of quotations, citations, diagrams, maps, and tables. Figures and tables need to be placed where they are to appear in the text and must be clear and easy to view.
Submissions that do not comply with the above guidelines may be rejected without review.
Papers must be submitted through the conference EasyChair submission site in PDF format.
Evaluation
Submissions will be evaluated by at least three program committee members. These papers will be evaluated based on industry relevance, originality, soundness, validation and quality, and consistency of presentation. We strongly encourage authors to make available all data and software they use in their work, in order to allow for verification and replication of their results. Moreover, all submissions will be screened by using iThenticate to avoid any plagiarism case.
Post Conference Publication and Indexing
ICAT 2020 – Industry Track proceedings will be published in Springer with Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series and submitted for indexing to DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus, and ISI Proceedings.
Presentation
The ICAT 2020 official language is English. However, authors may present their papers in Spanish.
If authors are unable to attend the conference and present their papers, they should contact the program chair so that a substitute arrangement can be done, e.g., virtual presentation.
FAQ
Q: Does the industry track accept abstracts or short papers?
A: No. The industry track has the same rigorousness as the research papers; therefore, the industry track papers need to present the motivation, methodology, design of experiments/case studies, results, discussions, and related work in a clear and comprehensive way. Abstracts or short papers don’t have enough room to incorporate these required and important contents.
Q: My paper has less than 12 pages, can I submit it to the industry track?
A: Yes, as long as your paper clearly presents the motivation, methodology, design of experiments/case studies, results, discussions, and related work. Minimum 10 pages.
